Socialist Kshama Sawant ran for a seat of city council in
Seattle with a campaign promise to introduce a minimum wage of $15, more than
double the federal rate. She spoke Sept 27 at a COPE party fundraiser in
Vancouver. She explained how she got elected and went on to fulfill her most
important campaign promise.
